Edit a attribute

Goal

Update an existing attribute.

Who it is for

catalog.manage.

Steps

1. From the list, open Edit on the row (or detail → edit).
2. Change editable fields.
3. If the attribute is in use, code, type, variant role, and size chart stay locked; labels and values remain editable (value codes lock when a value is in use).
4. Save.

Result

List and dependent pickers show the updated values.

Hard stops

In-use core fields locked; select/color/size need values; catalog.manage required.
