Create a tax determination rule

Goal

Add a new tax determination rule.

Who it is for

tax.manage.

Preconditions

• tax.manage on your role.
• Module statutory_compliance must be enabled.

Steps

1. Open the list → New.
2. Fill required fields (Inputs: tax category, party type, place of supply, jurisdiction, treatment, tax code, priority.).
3. Set priority so more specific rules win.
4. Use preview with sample party/item inputs.
5. Save.

Result

The tax determination rule appears on the list and can be selected elsewhere.

Module disabled; missing jurisdiction/category/code; invalid treatment; tax.manage required.
