Pricing
Goal
Set list prices, map customers to price books via price groups, and run promotions — then let quotes and sales documents resolve the right unit price.
Who it is for
Pricing clerk, sales admin, and tenant admin with pricing.view / pricing.manage / promotions.manage / pricing.admin.
Module
Requires the pricing_promotions module (enabled by default for new tenants; disable-able).
What lives here
- Price lists — currency-scoped price books with item lines, validity dates, tenant default, and optional Commerce publish.
- Price groups — customer segments that point at a default price list (before the tenant default list).
- Promotions — automatic or coupon discounts with scope, channels, budget, and usage limits.
- Pricing setup — promo stacking, list precedence, quote price lock, tax-inclusive/rounding, promo types, and price list roles.
How prices resolve on a quote
Order depends on Pricing setup → Price list precedence (default: Explicit → customer group → default):
- Price list named on the document (if any).
- Customer’s Price group → that group’s default price list.
- Tenant Default price list (
is_default).
Eligible promotions then apply (stacking policy), then the minimum sale price floor and tenant price rounding.
